Hyderabad: Four people, including two teenagers, were arrested by Cotul police three days ago on suspicion of killing a man over a “love affair”.
Those arrested included Rahul Singh (aka Amanat) (21), Mohammed Taher Ali (19) and two teenagers.
The victim, Raja Sahu (20 years old), was working in a company located in Kothur, Shadnagar. The manager lodged a complaint with Kothur Police Station after the man did not return from work on Wednesday.
During the investigation, the police detained Sahu’s colleague Rahul Singh and questioned him. During interrogation, he revealed that he had killed Sahu because of his love affair.
According to police, Rahul and Sahu had befriended a girl and there had been numerous arguments between them over the issue. “Rahul wanted to eliminate Sahu anyway because he approached the girl and planned the murder.
“Rahul, Taher and two teenagers took Sahu to a secluded place on the outskirts of Kotul and killed him by throwing boulders. The body was later dumped in the bushes and covered with mud,” said DCP Shamshabad, K Narayana Rao.
All four appeared in court.
