Shah Jahanpur: Most of the girls at a public school in Uttar Pradesh state were arrested for sexually assaulting 15 students and a teacher stopped teaching after the incident.
School attendance in Shahjahanpur’s Dadraul block has dropped below 35 per cent, sources said.
It has been discovered that accused computer teacher Muhammad Ali has been sexually assaulting underage girls at schools.
Some used condoms were found in a school toilet.
After the incident was exposed on May 13, angry villagers made a fuss.

Recognizing the horrific crime, the police acted on gram pradhan’s complaint.
The defendants have been arrested and principal Anil Kumar and teaching assistant Sajia have been recorded.
Commenting on the incident, Basic Shiksha Adhikari (BSA) Kumar Gaurav said, “Out of 112 students including 50 girls, only 35% of the students showed up on Monday. After the incident, parents and students, especially girls, were afraid to come to school.
“The department will ensure that students and parents are counseled, because unless we can rebuild confidence among them, student turnout is not going to improve. We have to sensitize our teachers too. In the meantime, we are working on this issue , and strong action will be taken against those found guilty.”
Similarly, gram pradhan Rampal said: “This incident has weakened the confidence of parents. We all believe that educational institutions are a safe place for students, but unfortunately, some teachers have brought stigma to the school, so parents are not happy. Willing to send their ward.”
One parent said: “Some of the girls who went through this horrific incident were reluctant to come to school for a short period of time. They were scarred by the teacher’s misbehavior. It took some time for them to get over it.”
Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh School Education Director-General Vijay Kiran Anand said: “To put a stop to such incidents, all 746 Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalayas (KGBVs) in Uttar Pradesh will soon be staffed with all-female staff. In all 75 districts of the state The contracts of all existing male staff working at these schools that are functioning will not be renewed. He said this step was taken for the safety of the female students studying at these boarding schools that offer boarding education for grades 6 to 8.”
State Minister Baldev Singh Aulakh also pledged to take stern action against the accused in the case.
“Actions will be taken against all those involved in accordance with the law. If teachers are involved in such cases, they will be expelled from the school.”
