Czech Republic: Diksha Dagar tied for second with a 3-under 69 at the Czech Ladies Open in Beron, just one behind leader Ana Dawson , the latter shot 68, swallowed two eagles and a triple bogey.
Diksha, who has been playing regularly over the past few weeks, is alongside Dawson, the first Isle of Man player to play on the Ladies European Tour.
Diksha tied for second, but the other Indians were far behind. Ridhima Dilawari and Amandeep Drall each finished 46th with 74, while Pranavi (75) was 61st and Vani Kapoor (76) was 88th.
Diksha started with a four and then made bogey on the fifth par-five in windy conditions. She found her rhythm after that and didn’t concede the ball again. She birdied the par-5 seventh hole to turn into even par and added three more birdies on Nos. 10, 15 and 18. Three of Diksha’s four birdies came on the par 5s.
“From the beginning I struggled with the wind, but then I started to adjust to the conditions and my putter was good,” Diksha said.
Ana Pelez Trivino from Spain with Celine Herbin from France, Ursula Wikstrom from Finland and Dick Diksha Dagar tied for second.
New Zealand’s Wenyung Keh and Momoka Kobori tied for sixth with rookie Alexandra Forsterling, Norway’s Marianne Skarpnord and Sweden’s Linnea Johansson at 2-under 70.
