Health assistant Kiran Kumar (48) was administered insecticide at the Nennal Primary Health Center before being transferred to the Community Health Center in Bellampalli, where he died while receiving treatment
Mancherial: Health assistant Kiran Kumar (48) committed suicide by taking some insecticide at the Nennal mandal center in Mancherial district on Thursday.
Police have not yet determined a motive for the reported suicide. Kiran was dosed with insecticide at the Nennal Primary Care Center before being transferred to the Community Health Center in Bellampalli, where he died while receiving treatment. A case of suspicious death was registered.
Meanwhile, his wife Deepthi and her family staged a debate blaming PHC medical officials for harassment of his death. She demanded action be taken against the medical officer, who refuted the allegations.
