Pedapari: The apron originally set for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s helicopter was changed at the last minute.
Modi, who was visiting the coal belt town of Ramagundam to reactivate Ramagundam Fertilizers and Chemicals Ltd, was scheduled to land at NTPC’s Mahatma Gandhi Stadium at 3.30pm before heading to RFCL by road.
However, the police abruptly changed the helipad to the Ramagadan Police Headquarters, citing the fact that high-voltage power lines passed near the NTPC stadium. Modi’s helicopter then landed at the police headquarters at 3.10pm.
In addition to reactivating the RFCL, the Prime Minister will also lay the groundwork for a number of national road and rail projects.
