A woman’s husband and in-laws in Kanchanbagh allegedly took some of the pills, resulting in the death of a developing baby in utero.

Hyderabad: In a shocking incident, a woman’s husband and in-laws allegedly administered some pills to a woman in Kanchanbagh, resulting in the death of a developing baby in utero.
According to police, Kanchanbagh resident Syed Mahmood married about three years ago and the couple has a daughter who is about 18 months old.
“The woman was six months pregnant and, suspecting that she would give birth to another girl, Mahmoud and his parents allegedly gave the woman some medicine. On November 15, the woman gave birth at the house. resulted in a stillbirth,” Kanchanbagh police said.
The family buried the body in a cemetery in Kanchanbagh. However, the woman contacted Kanchanbagh Police who registered the case under Sections 313, 315 and 323 of the Indian Penal Code. Doctors performed an on-site autopsy at the cemetery on Tuesday. Police detained Mahmoud and are investigating.
