Hyderabad: An 11-year-old boy drowned in a swimming pool in Hafeezbaba Nagar under the confines of the Kanchanbagh Police Station on Tuesday night.
The victim, Mohd Ghouse, went swimming with his friends at the Quadri swimming pool in Hafeezbaba Nagar at midnight on Tuesday. After entering the swimming pool, the boy who was playing drowned. According to reports, Ghouse’s friends did not notice that he was missing because the pool was crowded.
“By the time people realized that the boy had drowned, it was too late. Ghouse’s body was later brought up from the swimming pool,” said an official from the Kanchanbagh police station.
A case has been registered against the management and investigation of the Quadri swimming pool. The corpse was returned to the family after post-mortem.
