Hyderabad: It’s a competition for the smartest brain. Meanwhile, some 2,500 young students took part in a difficult task, completing 200 calculations in just 11 minutes. To do this, they have to do math faster than a calculator!
The SIP Regional Prodigy 2023 Telangana program was hosted by SIP Academy Managing Director Dinesh Victor and DRDO Missile Scientist Dr A. Ramachander Rao for 2,500 children aged 6 to 12.
Addressing the contestants, Dr. Rao said that if children learn under the right guidance, they will be able to easily achieve their goals. “I see Aryabhattas, Ramanujas and Shakuntala Devi in many of you. You are all mathematical scientists,” he said.
Dinesh Victor said the journey of SIP Academy started in Hyderabad in 2003 and has since expanded to 23 states. “About 200,000 students are trained in more than 350 cities across the country every year. There are 950 franchise centers. We are affiliated with more than 1,000 schools,” he said.
After the main event, there was also a wonderful game. There is loud music playing inside, testing children to see if they can do math at the same pace as before without distraction.
