Hyderabad: A fire broke out at a scrap yard in Bahadurpura late Saturday night, destroying properties worth lakhs of rupees. No casualties were reported in the incident.
According to fire officials, the fire broke out at around 10.30pm at the scrap yard on Bahadurpura-Kishanbagh Road
It is understood that two fire engines from the Chandulal Baradari fire station were rushed to the scene. Due to the intensity of the fire, several fire engines from other fire stations were also dispatched to the scene. Huge flames erupted from the scene, causing panic among nearby residents.
“Many combustible materials, including truck beds, seats, wooden materials and other items, were inadvertently dumped in the large clearing. Five fire trucks were called into action and firefighters battled the blaze for approximately four hours and brought it under control ,” said G Venkateshwar Reddy, Fire Officer, Chandulal Baradari Fire Station.
