Hyderabad: Hyderabad continues to grapple with a relentless heatwave as temperatures across the city continue to rise. Residents breathed a sigh of relief as temperatures breached the 40C mark in several areas on Thursday. Conditions were equally dire elsewhere, with Nalgonda hitting a high of 45.9C on Thursday.
In the city, Khairatabad recorded the highest temperature at 41.5 degrees Celsius, followed by Kukatpali at 41.2 degrees Celsius. As many as 16 areas of the city reeled from the scorching heat on Thursday.
Weather experts have predicted that extreme heat could persist in Hyderabad and across the state for the next six days.
