Hyderabad: On Thursday, the task force, together with the Shahinayathgunj police, raided a shop in Begum Bazaar and arrested a person suspected of adulterating mustard seeds.
Officials seized 50 kilograms of adulterated mustard seeds and other materials. The arrested person is Bhagwan Lal Pandey from Kolsawadi, Begum Bazar.
According to the police, Pandey decided to sell adulterated mustard seeds with the malicious intention of making quick money. He sources raw mustard seeds and mixes chemical colorings and sells them to local shops and markets.
The arrested persons and seized materials have been handed over to Shahinayathgunj Police for further action.
