Hyderabad: On Thursday, a local court sentenced a man to five years in prison for insulting the modesty of an underage girl in Uppuguda.
Nenavath Vamshi Krishna (38), a sweeper, went to the home of an underage girl while her parents were away and tried to irritate her modesty. After the girl called the police, he fled. The victim informed her parents of the incident when she returned home.
Based on the complaint, the police registered a case under various parts of the IPC and POCSO Act. After the trial, the court sentenced the man to five years in prison.
