A trip to the Holy Land turns into a tragedy for a group of Old Town youths

Hyderabad: A group of young people from the old city whose journey to the holy site turned into tragedy on Sunday when their car crashed into an overpass in Shamshabad, killing one and injuring seven.
RGI Airport Police Inspector R Srinivas said the victim, Mohd Ashwaq, a resident of Tallabkatta, was traveling in a Toyota Qualis with seven of his friends.
“When they reached the Gagan Pahad flyover, Ashwaq, who was driving the car, was traveling at high speed and hit the wall of the flyover. The vehicle overturned and the occupants were injured. Ashwaq died at the scene and others were also injured.”
After being informed, the police rushed to the scene and sent the injured to the hospital. The remains of the victims were transferred to the morgue. A case has been registered.
