Hyderabad: As Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao will unveil the 125-foot-tall Dr BR Ambedkar statue on April 14, the necklace will be closed to vehicles on the day.
SC Development Minister Koppula Eshwar, Finance Minister T Harish Rao, R&B Minister Vemula Prashant Reddy, Agriculture Minister S Niranjan Reddy and BC Welfare Minister Gangula Kamalakar met here on Monday to review the arrangements made for the unveiling of the statue.
During the meeting, Principal Secretary A Santhi Kumari outlined the ongoing arrangements. Health authorities were instructed to keep ambulances and health personnel at the venue. Ministers directed officials should arrange appropriate seating for dignitaries and people from various districts.
Due to the closure of Necklace Road on April 14, the Police Department has been instructed to issue an advance recommendation to the public to use an alternate route.
