Hyderabad: A 28-year-old woman was seriously injured Wednesday in Jubilee Hills when her husband stabbed her with a beer bottle in full view, allegedly doubting her fidelity.
Naveena works as a cook and lives in a hotel in Madhapur with her husband G. Anand (35), a car driver from Uppal ), and the couple have two children.
According to police, Anand often got into fights with Navena and doubted her loyalty. As a result, Navena left home three months ago and has been living in the women’s dormitory, while Anand lives in the orphanage with the children.
Using the pretext of discussing and reaching a compromise, Anand met Navena at Jubilee Hill on Wednesday night and stabbed her in the stomach with a beer bottle he had brought.
Naveena was seriously injured and was rescued by passers-by and taken to hospital. She has been observed.
Jubilee Hill police charged Anand with attempted murder and arrested him.
