Hyderabad: For 16-year-old Vritti Agarwal, the news came as a pleasant surprise. The talented swimmer has been named to India’s 4x200m freestyle relay team for the Asian Games scheduled for September 23 in Hangzhou, China.

Secondary 2 students at Oble Reddy School are now preparing for the Asian Age Group Championships at the August selection. “I’m still in the junior program. So I won the Asian age group championship. I’m training for it now. Since this is my last year in the junior division, I will focus on getting good results.”
The young man spent seven to eight hours honing his skills. When she trains for four or five hours in the pool, she spends two hours in the gym. “We will start preparing for the Asian Games next week. My focus is to improve my timing.
