The Rajasthan government has suspended eight officials, including an IAS and an IPS officer, for allegedly attacking hotel staff in Ajmer.

Jaipur: The Rajasthan government has suspended eight officials, including an IAS and an IPS officer, for allegedly attacking hotel workers in Ajmer, police officials said here on Wednesday.
The incident was reported at 2am on June 12, and the video went viral within hours.
The government suspended both officials shortly after. IAS Girdhar is the Commissioner of Ajmer Development Authority and Sushil Kumar Bishnoi is the IPS Officer.
Others facing suspension include: ASI Ruparam of Gegal Police Station, Constable Gautam, Mukesh Yadav, Constable Mukesh Jat of Tonk and Junior Assistant Hanuman Prasad, Tonk Patwari Narendra Singh Dahiya of Tehsil, Tonk District.
The incident reportedly took place at Hotel Makrana Raj, which is located on the highway.
According to a complaint from the hotel owner Mahendra Singh, some police officers, including the IPS officer and his friends, attacked the hotel staff with sticks. He claimed that both officers were in a state of intoxication during the battle.
The state government recently appointed IPS officer Sushil Bishnoi as the OSD of the state’s newly formed Gangapur district.
Earlier, he was posted as Additional SP City Ajmer. On Sunday, he held a farewell party at a city restaurant. After the party, he arrived at the hotel around midnight on June 11 for dinner with some friends.
Singh, the hotel owner, said Sushil Bishnoi and four or five of his companions arrived at the hotel in a private car. He asked an employee sitting outside the hotel why he was sitting there. When he answered, he was a hotel worker and was going to sleep. This angered Bishnoi, who slapped the employee.
It quickly led to fights and abuse. The staff informed the owner of the matter, and the owner subsequently lodged a complaint with the police.
In his complaint, he claimed that at 2.30 am, IPS Sushil Kumar came to the hotel along with other personnel. They went to the restroom and started fighting with the staff, attacking them with sticks, hockey sticks.
At 2:45 a.m., they left in a police jeep.
Police have opened a case against unknown individuals in the matter.
The attack was caught on CCTV – with footage also provided by hotel owner Mahendra Singh. On CCTV, IPS Sushil Bishnoi can be seen fighting with a friend and uniformed police officers.
On the direction of DGP Umesh Mishra, ADG Vigilance Biju George Joseph has handed over the investigation of the case.
Police sources said IAS Girdhar and IPS Sushil Kumar Bishnoi involved could be arrested soon.
Cases have been registered against unknown persons, but all accused have been identified based on CCTV footage.
Eight defendants, including IAS-IPS, have been suspended.
