Abu Dhabi: And, with her achievements and status in the film industry, Alia Bhatt won the Best Actor Award for “Performance of a Leading Actress” at IIFA 2023.
However, the 30-year-old star was not present to accept the award in person due to his performance in “Gangubai Kathiawadi”.
If reports are to be believed, Alia was absent from the event due to a family emergency. Alia’s maternal grandfather, Narendra Razdan, was reported to be unwell.
Producer Jayantilal Gada accepted the award on Alia’s behalf.
Earlier this month, Alia was announced as the first Indian global ambassador for luxury fashion house Gucci. The fashion brand shared the news on Instagram with the caption: “Alia Bhatt is the brand’s newest global brand ambassador. Captured.” Alia also attended the Gucci Cruise 2024 show in Seoul.
She also made her Met Gala debut in May.
The “Raazi” star hit the iconic red carpet in a dreamy white gown by fashion designer Prabal Gurung.
This year’s theme is “Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty,” based on a new Costume Institute exhibition exploring the iconic designer’s work. Lagerfeld, who died in 2019 at the age of 85, spent decades designing clothes for Balmain, Patou, Chloe, Fendi and Chanel, in addition to his namesake label, Page Six reported.
She accessorized the gown with embellished gloves and accessorized it with diamond earrings and a ring. For glam, she opted for a center parted half ponytail, high heels, a touch of smoky eyeshadow, eyeshadow liner, nude lip color and a dewy base.
