India men’s Kabaddi beat defending Asian champions 42-32 in high-pressure final

Busan: India’s men’s Kabaddi beat Iran 42-32 in a high-pressure final on Friday to retain their title at the Asian Championships.
It was India’s eighth title at the Continental Championships.
Iran started aggressively but Indians got the job done. Captain Pawan Sehrawat assisted India with a first all-out effort on two touch points and put India up 10-4.
India has kept up the pressure on Iran and is again going all out. At halftime, India led 23-11.
Iranian all-rounder Mohammadreza Chiyaneh tried to lead the comeback but they ended up conceding again across the board to trail 14-33. India maintained their shackles and settled the issue.
“In the end India defeated Iran 42-32 to defend their title at the Kabaddi Asia Championships! Thank you to the whole team. The boys did a great job,” Sports Authority of India tweeted. “
In the last tournament held in Iran in 2017, India defeated arch-rivals Pakistan in the final.
