New Delhi: India reported 3,824 new Covid cases in 24 hours, a 27% increase from the previous day, the United Health and Family Affairs Ministry said on Sunday.
There are currently 18,389 active cases and 1,33,153 tests for the virus have been carried out at the same time.
The daily positive rate was 2.87%, and the weekly positive rate was 2.24%.
Active cases are at 0.04%, and the recovery rate is currently at 98.77%. The 1,784 recoveries in the last 24 hours brought the total recoveries to 4,41,73,335.
Since the start of the Covid pandemic, 220.66 million vaccine doses (95.21 million second doses and 22.86 million preventive doses) have been administered so far in national vaccination campaigns, and 2799 agent.
The national capital Delhi on Saturday reported 416 new cases of Covid infection in the past 24 hours, according to the Delhi government’s health bulletin.
Meanwhile, one death related to Covid-19 was reported during the same time period.
The city-wide positive rate rose to 14.37%. The number of active cases stands at 1,216, of which 716 patients are being treated in isolation at home.
With 144 patients recovered in the past 24 hours, the total number of recoveries so far has reached 19,82,567, while the total number of cases in Delhi stands at 20,10,312 and the death toll in the city has risen to 26,529.
According to the Delhi government health announcement, the total number of beneficiaries who have been vaccinated so far is 3,7405,091.
