Abu Dhabi: “Naatu Naatu” heat continues! Residents of the UAE now have the chance to showcase their dancing skills at the Indian Embassy’s Oscar-winning song.
On Monday, the Indian Embassy in the UAE launched a competition to encourage citizens to share their dance clips to the RRR song ‘Naatu Naatu’ by April 16, and the winner will have the chance to perform in the mission.

Cross-cultural hit ‘Naatu Naatu’ beats ‘This is [UAE] “Life” from “Everything Everywhere All at Once”, “Applause” from “Tell It Like a Woman” and “Lift Me Up” from “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever”. The song was awarded numerous awards on the global stage before winning an Oscar.
In January, “Naatu Naatu” won the Golden Globe Award for “Best Original Song”. Five days later, “RRR” scooped two more awards at the 28th Annual Critics’ Choice Awards. One is Best Song and the other is “Best Foreign Language Film”.
The song was also released in Hindi as “Naacho Naacho”, in Tamil as “Naattu Koothu”, in Kannada as “Halli Naatu”, in Malayalam The middle release is “Karinthol” and its Hindi version is sung by Rahul Sipligunj and Vishal Mishra. The hook steps performed by Jr NTR and Ram Charan went viral on social media, and their energetic sync made the song a treat.
