Nalgonda: Energy Minister G Jagadish Reddy said on Sunday that an insurgency against Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s regime had begun, calling the election ruling in Karnataka state irrefutable evidence.
“The people of Karnataka have shown Modi what real rebellion is like in this election. They have rejected the divisive and communal politics of the BJP,” he said.
Addressing the media in Veliminedu village in the district’s Chityala mandal along with local lawmaker Chirumurthi Lingaiah, the minister accused the BJP of forming the government in an undemocratic manner and disregarding the people’s mandate. The BJP overthrew non-BJP governments in nine states and appointed governments with its allies in violation of fundamental principles of democracy.
“The people of Karnataka have taught the party leaders a lesson because they take them for granted,” he said. Expecting broader sentiment across the country, he warned that the entire country was preparing to teach the BJP a lesson in the next election.
Jagadish Reddy also said that the Congress party has reached bankruptcy and cannot provide a credible alternative to the BJP at the national level, even if people vote for them.
