Mumbai: “King Khan” brings another song that makes us “jhoom” all day.
“Jhoome Jo Pathaan”, the second song from the upcoming action-thriller “Pathaan”, has finally been released in time for the public to be a hit at the upcoming Christmas and New Year parties.
The “Swades” actor announced the release of the party song by posting some lyrics from the song on Instagram.
“Tumne love karni hai….humne love ki hai….iss dil ke alava kisi se bhi, na humne ijaazat li hai!!! Let’s jhoomo! #JhoomeJoPathan song is out now,” he wrote.
Fans went wild over the announcement, taking to the comments section and posing with flame emojis and heart emojis in support of the song.
“They did justice to the King’s looks,” wrote one user.
“What a melody! What a great music video team #Pathaan You guys have done it again!! Shah…you look…mehfil luta di aap ne (you’ve started a feast) #JhoomeJoPathaan,” another user wrote.
The music video features the film’s co-stars Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone dancing around international venues in stylish outfits surrounded by a well-coordinated backup dance team.
The song is sung by singers Arijit Singh, Sukriti Kakar, Vishal Dadlani and Sheykhar Ravijani. The latter two are also composers who set foot in pop songs.
Earlier, Shah Rukh teased Arijit’s presence in the song during a #askSRK Q&A session on Twitter last Saturday.
“Arijit is a gem,” the actor wrote. He further revealed that the next song from his movie “Pathaan” will feature his voice, which he hopes everyone will “like”.
Speaking about the song, “Pathaan” director Siddharth Anand said, “When we were planning Jhoome Jo Pathaan, it was clear to me that we should have Arijit Singh singing for Shah Rukh Khan. He is the number one singer in our country and we want him Sing to our country’s evergreen number one! Arijit weaves his magic with his charismatic voice in this dance track that sees SRK and Deepika let their hair down and move to the music.”
