Angels: Hollywood star Johnny Depp, who received a seven-minute standing ovation at Cannes for his film “Jeanne Dubari,” has been forced to postpone a series of upcoming tour dates due to an ankle injury.
On May 30, May 31 and June 1, the 59-year-old will travel to Manchester, New Hampshire, Boston and New York Bethel with his band Hollywood Vampires, which consists of Depp, Alice Cooper and Joe Perry of Aerosmith, reports “Mirror.co.uk”.
Fans of the locations will have to wait a little longer to see them, however, as Hollywood actor Johnny has been asked to take it easy after suffering a lower body injury.
Depp recently told his Instagram followers: “My dear friends, I’m sorry to say I broke my ankle and it’s a liability!!! It started as just a hairline break, but at Cannes and Royal Albert Somewhere between the concert halls, it got worse rather than better. I was strongly advised by several medical professionals to avoid any and all activities for now, so unfortunately travel is not possible at this time”.
He further mentioned, quoted from “Mirror.co.uk”. “For that, the guys and I are sorry to miss you in New Hampshire, Boston and New York, but fear not, I promise we’ll put on a great show for all of Europe and bring our absolute best To the east coast later this summer, to make amends to those who paid for these shows!!! My sincerest apologies again. All my love and respect, JD x”.
A statement shared on the band’s official Instagram page read: “We are sad to report that Hollywood Vampires will be rescheduling three of our US tour dates next week. Johnny injured his ankle after a recent appearance and was advised by doctors not to Travel. He is devastated by the turn of events, but is looking forward to resting so that all four Vampires can perform at their absolute best on the European Tour.”
Affected dates are also listed, with a promise: “All tickets will be honored on the new dates”.
