karimnagar: A couple from Karimnagar won a medal in archery at the 2023 Asia Pacific Masters Games in South Korea from May 12-21.
Kuna Kishan and his wife Rajeshwari won silver medals in different categories. Kishan won a medal in the 30m category, while Rajeshwari won two medals in the 18m and 50m categories. A total of 70 players from different countries participated in the competition.
While Kishan was working as a mechanic at the Karimnagar RTC regional workshop, Rajeshwari was a revenue inspector (RI) at Velgatoor mandal, Jagtial district. RTC Executive Director (Karimnagar) V Venkateshwarlu congratulated Kishan on his medal on Wednesday.
In an interview with Telangana Today, Kishan said he was happy to represent India in the Asia-Pacific Masters and win a medal. Thanks to the RTC officials for their cooperation, Kishan said he wanted to set a world record with four of his family members scoring 10 points each.
The couple once took their children to the police training center for archery training. They started to get in touch with the sport in 2018, mastered it in a short period of time and won multiple championships. Earn medals by participating in state and national competitions.
