Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister KT Rama Rao laid the foundation stone for the food processing zone in Bellampalli on Monday
Mancherial: The Minister of Municipal Administration and Urban Development, KT Rama Rao, said that a skills development center will be established in Bellampalli soon.
He was speaking after laying the foundation stone for the expansion of Orient Cement Ltd in Devapur village, Kasipet mandal. The cement plant is being expanded at an estimated cost of Rs 200 crore.
Hoping that with the expansion of Orient Cement, locals will find employment opportunities, the minister said with the advent of the food processing zone, for which he earlier laid the foundation stone at Bellampalli.
Rama Rao also pledged Rs 50 crore funding under Mission Bhagiratha and TUFIDC, apart from building several roads and an interstate bridge across the Pranahita river at Vemanapalli mandal, Rama Rao said he was surprised to find that Bellampalli town has two IT company.
One was founded by three local technocrats and provided jobs for 100 locals, while the other was started by another local, Ramana, and provided jobs for 200 locals.
So far, 15,000 children of coal miners have been given jobs through the restoration of dependent work scheme, he said, saying the state government had raised miners’ profit share from 18% to 30%, acknowledging the role of employees in the Telangana movement. . The retirement age was raised from 58 to 61, while 19,260 jobs were filled.
Title documents will be provided to 4,000 beneficiaries, while 3,000 will be given documents to occupy the coal giant’s residential complex. The documents will be delivered to the beneficiary’s doorstep shortly, he said.
