Hyderabad/New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao expressed their condolences on the passing of veteran actor Krishna on Tuesday. “Krishna Garu was a legendary superstar who was loved for his versatile acting skills and lively personality. His passing is a great loss to the film and entertainment industry,” Modi tweeted.
Chandrashekhar Rao visited the late actor’s residence in Nanakramguda to lay flowers on Krishna’s body. He offered his condolences to Krishna’s family. The chief minister also ordered that Krishna’s final rites be held on Wednesday and be performed in national honor.
He directed Chief Secretary Kumar to make the necessary arrangements in this regard. Later in an interview with the media, Chandrashekhar Rao recalled Krishna’s work as an actor, producer, director and head of a production company for Thailand over the past 50 years.
