Hyderabad: Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao’s speech in Munugode on Sunday, apart from exposing the BJP’s attempts to overthrow the TRS government, was a lesson on the value of voting.
The Chief Minister has repeatedly asked people to go home and think carefully about what he said, saying the vote is a weapon that decides one’s fate and one shouldn’t be carried away or shaken by all the commotion around them.
Any negligence in exercising the right to vote could lead to the collapse of the country. He said that all pros and cons should be thoroughly analyzed and one should not be easily influenced by vested interests, repeating “manchi chedu.. alochinchali” (considering the good side and the bad side carefully).
“The right choice will help Munugode welfare and development. Telangana will prosper and ultimately India will prosper,” Chandrashekhar Rao said, adding that Munugode voters had already decided their verdict on the polls.
Elections come in different forms, and political parties have different forms to influence voters. He reiterated that there will be a lot of noise at the polls, but caution should be exercised and not complacent.
India is a democratic country. But unless people are conscious, the politics of betrayal and deception will continue, with blackmailers deceiving people with their false promises, he said.
