New York: Rapper and songwriter Lil Nas X has never shied away from experimenting with bold looks. Met Gala 2023 is no exception. The “Industry Baby” entertainer hit the red carpet in nothing but a thong. Yes, you read that right. If you don’t believe me, just look at his pictures.
Covered in silver body paint and sparkling rhinestones, the 24-year-old rapper was transformed into a glamorous cat with delicate pearl details on his neck and face, Page Six reported.
His silver thong showed off his entire rear, and it came with a belt made of pearls. “Lil Nas X is back,” one netizen commented on his Met Gala 2023 look. “OMG! He stole the show,” wrote another.
The nearly nude look was created by legendary makeup artist Pat McGrath in collaboration with Dior Men, with creative direction by Nicola Formichetti and long silver nails by Temeka Jackson.
This year’s theme was a tribute to legendary fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld, who passed away in 2019 at the age of 85—the rapper paid homage to his beloved cat, Choupette, with feline-inspired looks.
