New Delhi: The Lok Sabha adjourned until 2pm on Wednesday following protests from opposition members led by Congress, who sought an inquiry into the Adani-Hindenburg issue.
As soon as the House of Representatives was in session that day, leftist and Democratic congressmen dressed in black rushed to the well, shouting slogans and holding placards.
Chairperson Rajendra Agrawal urged protesting members to allow question time.
Amid ongoing protests, he postponed the house until 2pm
Meanwhile, Lok Sabha Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury, Speaker of the House of Representatives, on Tuesday sent a letter to Speaker of the House of Representatives Om Birla, seeking to resolve the issue of Rahul Gandhi’s disqualification from Parliament. Discuss the matter.
Opposition leader Rajya Sabha Mallikarjun Kharge said earlier on Wednesday: “Rahul Gandhi has been disqualified… A member of the Gujarat parliament was sentenced to three years in prison and his membership was reinstated but the parliament was not allowed to tell the truth. Talking people … it’s pretty visible who’s putting the pressure on.”
