On Monday, a 57-year-old ACP allegedly shot his wife and nephew before shooting himself in his home in Pune.

Pune: A 57-year-old Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) allegedly shot his wife and nephew before shooting himself in his home in Pune on Monday, an official statement said.
“ACP Bharat Gaikwad, 57, who was posted in Amravati, returned to his home in Pune during his leave. His family lived in a bungalow in the Banal area of Pune city. At around 3.30am today, Gaikwad shot first at his wife and then at his nephew,” an officer said.
The officer then shot himself, police said. “After shooting two people, he shot himself and all three were pronounced dead on arrival at the hospital,” an official said.
The case concerning the incident is under the jurisdiction of the Chatushrungi Police Station, Pune. Further investigation is ongoing.
