Task Force arrests man for smuggling banned herbicide glyphosate from Maharashtra, Asfabad

Kurram Bhim Asfabad: The task force arrested a man in the town of Asfabad on Sunday on charges of smuggling the banned herbicide glyphosate from Maharashtra state.
Ten bottles containing 10 liters of herbicide worth Rs 14,800 were seized from him.
Task Force Inspector D Sudhakar said Shaik Irfan from Indiranagar, Wankidi mandal, was found bringing herbicides from Maharashtra to Telangana.
He admitted that he was targeting farmers that Telangana promised high yields.
