Tractor collides with auto rickshaw, killing man, woman and slightly injuring one

Mancherial: A tractor and an auto rickshaw collided in Veegaon village in Kannepalli mandal on Friday night, killing a man and his daughter and slightly injuring another.
Kannepalli Police said the victims were Dandera Posham (60) and his daughter Thummidi Suvarna (25) from Chedwai village. The injured was Raju, the driver of the motor tricycle.
Posham and new mother Suvarna were fatally injured when the tractor rammed the motor rickshaw, killing the former at the scene. Suvarna was immediately transferred to a hospital in Bellampalli. She breathed her last while receiving treatment. Poshama and Suvarna were returning to Chedwai after visiting a hospital in Mancherial when the accident happened.
The police visited the scene and filed a case based on the complaint from the victim’s family. A manhunt is under way to capture Suresh, the tractor driver who absconded after the accident.
