Meerut: A young man allegedly strangled his girlfriend to death but “informed” his mother he was about to commit a crime.
“I’m going to kill my love, don’t wait for me,” he told his mother before the murder.
Police investigating the case have recovered alleged audio clips from him.
According to police, the incident happened on Dec. 23 and came to light a day later when the landlord found the victim’s body lying in her rented house.
The accused Shiva Singh has now been arrested.
For the past eight months, Shiva Singh was in a relationship with a Sonia, a senior police officer said. Sonia lives in a rented house in the Shivpuri area and earns her living by making idols.
Recently he learns of her friendship with another youth, which infuriates him so much that he kills her.
