Hyderabad: Unidentified persons stabbed a man to death and injured another in two separate incidents in Narsingi’s Manchirevula village earlier on Thursday.
According to the police, transgender Niharika alias Naresh was standing near the village of Manchirevula when two unidentified individuals came to harass her for demanding pleasure. As the threats and harassment continued, Niharika notified her husband, Kishore Reddy, as well as the Narsingi Police.
A police team that went to the scene checked the area and left the location after dispersing others.
Meanwhile, Kishore and a Shiva set out from Hydershah Kote Rajendranagar and reached the village of Manchirevula. He found the two strangers who had harassed Niharika and interrogated them. “There was an altercation between Kishore and the suspects and one of them attacked Kishore with a knife, causing bleeding injuries. He was rushed to the hospital where he died,” Madhapur DCP K Shilpavalli said.
Minutes before the attack, the two also attacked the Tulasi man and robbed him of Rs 200. 15,000. The man sustained serious hand injuries and is in critical condition.
It has been learned that senior officials from the Madharpur district have arrived at the scene and are conducting investigations. “A special team has been formed to track down the attackers and take action against them,” the official said.

Two police officers, Raju and Vinayak, went to the Sikh settlement in Jagadgirigutta to investigate a case when unidentified persons attacked Raju with a sword, causing the wound to bleed. The injured policeman was transferred to hospital for treatment. Senior officers rushed to the scene to investigate the case and formed a team to capture the person who attacked the police.
