Mana Ooru Mana Badi gives corporate identity to former Warangal public school

Warangal/Hanam Kunda: Many public schools selected under the state government’s flagship scheme, Mana Ooru Mana Badi, are now similar to the former corporate schools in the Warangal area.

In the first phase of the Mana Ooru Mana Badi scheme in the old district, a total of 1,165 schools (including primary, middle and high schools) were selected to improve facilities, for which the state government approved Rs 2.5 billion.

As part of this, district officials have embarked on building toilets with water services, providing electrification, drinking water supply, providing adequate furniture for students and staff, painting the entire school, installing green chalk boards, composite walls, kitchen sheds, new Replacing dilapidated rooms in classrooms, high school cafeterias and digital education facilities in these schools.

Collector Ch Shivalingaiah detailed the progress of the plan in Jangaon district, saying they have already selected 176 schools under the plan. “While works on 62 schools have been completed, works on 103 schools are in progress,” he said, adding that tenders will be called to carry out works on another nine schools.

Mahabababad district collector K Shashanka said that in the first phase of the scheme, they have carried out renovation and repair works on 316 schools out of 16 schools. “We are building 32 schools, two from each order, as model schools. 32 works on 4 schools have been completed, 9 schools are progressing rapidly, and 5 schools are 90% complete,” he said. . “We are working hard to complete the pending works on the first stage of the school by the end of December,” he added.

Education Minister Sabitha Indra Reddy called a video conference a few days ago to instruct collectors to visit schools and take steps to build libraries. She also asked officials to identify schools that could install solar photovoltaic panels.

Warangal district collector Dr B Gopi said they selected 223 schools in the first phase to improve facilities under the scheme. “The works are in several phases. We are trying to complete them by the end of December,” he said.

In Hanamkonda district, a total of 176 schools (84 primary schools, 18 primary schools and 74 high schools) out of 492 schools were renovated.

“While the works on 132 schools are at various stages, by completing the bidding process, the works on 20 more schools have started. The bidding process for another 22 schools is underway.” ’” he said, adding that the painting of 3 schools out of 28 schools from 14 missions was also completed. They will be reinstated by the end of this month.

Meanwhile, students of ZPHS in Paravathagi, Warangal district are happy with the painting work done on their school and the facilities provided by the government, as the school now looks like a corporate school.

Grade 9 student Srinivas said that apart from the quality teaching here, he is happy to come to the school every day to enjoy the surrounding environment. Meanwhile, a parent said the Parvathagiri school was developed under the special care of Panchayat Raj and Rural Development Minister Errabelli Dayakar Rao from the village in Warangal district.
