Kota Gooden: Bhadrachalam ASP Paritosh Pankaj said the leader of the outlawed CPI (Maoist) party who resorted to violence in a cowardly manner has been talking about morality.
On Tuesday, he issued a statement here saying that the Maoists committed criminal offenses to show their presence and harass innocent tribal people in the agency’s area. Nassar has become an obstacle to development.
Pankaj said the district police are working hard to effectively implement central and state government programs that provide education, healthcare and ensure the development of the Orang Asli within the agency’s territory.
The top leaders of the Maoist party forced lower-level cadres to engage in illegal activities for their own self-interest, with the aim of extorting and harassing innocent tribes through various methods.
Underage boys and girls were tortured by Nassar to force them to join the Maoist party. The ASP noted that many Maoist Durham members and leaders were recently attracted by the “Operation Chayutha” carried out by the regional police and were planning to surrender, but they were prevented from doing so by senior Maoists.
