Zhan Gang: Panchayat Raj and Rural Development Minister Errabelli Dayakar Rao said after the inauguration of training for female seamstresses at Palakurthi on Monday that the state government is working towards empowering women through various initiatives. “For the first time in the state, we have launched a female seamstress program in Palakurthi. A total of 3,000 women will be trained for three months,” he said.
The Society for the Eradication of Rural Poverty (SERP) and Stree Nidhi are providing this training. “Kakatiya Mega Textile Park in Sangem mandal, Warangal district needs 10,000 seamstresses. A small textile park will also be built in nearby Kodakandla. Trained seamstresses will find jobs,” he said, adding that they will be ready in three months. Start a new batch of jobs.
“I want the next batch to remove the age limit and educational qualifications. We have spent a total of Rs 5 crore on training,” the minister said. “We will implement it across the state in phases,” he added.
