MLA Nadipelli Diwakar Rao instructs city officials to expedite work related to beautification of Ram Cheruvu

Mancherial: MLA Nadipelli Diwakar Rao on Monday directed city officials to expedite work related to the beautification of Ram Cheruvu.
The estimated cost of the Telangana Urban Finance and Infrastructure Development Corporation (TUFIDC) grant is Rs 2.8 lakh for landscaping.
Diwakar Rao visited the Bund and other parts of the tank. He reportedly expressed dissatisfaction with the slow progress of the works. He told officials to pay special attention to landscaping and to take steps to open the tank to the public as soon as possible.
Seating arrangements, dredging, railings, bund greenery, LED lights, high mast lights, Bathukamma ghats and parking lots are being established as part of the tank development and beautification, officials said. The works started in April. However, rain affected the progress of the project.
Centrally located, this lung-space for citizens is a sought-after destination for morning walkers and joggers. It is home to several migratory birds, aquatic bird communities, various butterfly species, reptiles, fauna and mushrooms.
Municipal Chairman P Rajaiah, Vice Chairman Gajula Mukesh Goud, PACS Chairman Sandela Venkatesh, TRS Town Mayor Pallapu Thirupathi, Municipal Commissioner Balakrishna, ICDS Organizer A Saroja and others accompanied the MLA.
