Jabalpur: A mild earthquake with a magnitude of 3.6 hit the Jabalpur district of Madhya Pradesh on Sunday, officials said.
There were no reports of any casualties or property damage, they said.
Biju J Joseph, head of India Meteorological Center (Jabalpur), told PTI that the National Seismological Center of India recorded the quake at 11 am with the epicenter near Jabalpur at a depth of 23 km.
He said the seismic activity was in Jabalpur and the nearby Umaria district.
