K Chandrashekhar Rao wants every village in Telangana to develop along the lines of Mukhra-K village and become self-reliant
Hyderabad: Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao wants every village in Telangana to develop and become self-reliant like Mukhra-K village in Adilabad district.
He thanked the villagers for not only using the wet waste collected in the village to make vermicompost but also donating Rs 100,000 from the profits earned to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund (CMRF).
Mukhra-K gram panchayat has earned a total of Rs 700,000 by selling vermicompost made from wet waste collected in the village. Among them, 400,000 rupees will be used to establish solar grid power generation, and another 200,000 rupees will be used to establish a digital library. The remaining Rs 1 lakh was donated to CMRF.
The Chief Minister lauded Mukhra-K gram panchayat for achieving great results through effective implementation of the Palle Pragathi program and ensuring the survival of all 100,000 saplings planted in the village. He congratulated the village chief G Meenakshi, members of the village committee and the villagers.
Taking this opportunity, Mukhra-K sarpanch and villagers presented a check of Rs 100,000 to CMRF and handed over to the Chief Minister a bag of vermicompost prepared by them. Panchayat Raj Minister Errabelli Dayakar Rao, Congressman J Santosh Kumar and others were present.
