Mumbai: The Mumbai Police Crime Unit has opened an investigation into a viral video that purportedly shows BJP leader Kirit Somaiya in a bad position.
The Mumbai police said that the 10th Squad of the Crime Branch will investigate the authenticity of the video and the matter. The Crime Unit will investigate the case with the help of technical and cyber experts.
Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis ordered an investigation into the matter in the state assembly on Tuesday. Subsequently, the Mumbai police have launched an investigation.
