Mumbai: The Shiv Sena (UBT) will hold its first executive meeting in Mumbai on June 18 since the original Shiv Sena split, a party source said on Wednesday.
He said Sena (UBT) CEO Uddhav Thackeray would speak at the conference in Worli district.
The decision was taken at a meeting of the party’s district chiefs.
Officials from all over Maharashtra above taluka level will attend the meeting to discuss the future political path and strengthen the organisation, sources said.
Thackeray will also hold a gathering at the Shanmukhanand Hall here on June 19, the founding day of the original Shiva Legion.
The party will also organize a “Chavdi Andolan” across the state in the coming month, and its staff will inform people how the recent Supreme Court judgment supports the group led by Thackeray.
The Supreme Court, dealing with a petition regarding Senna’s split in June 2022, held that the then-governor should not have asked Thackeray to prove his majority in parliament, but also said Thackeray’s government could not be restored because he resigned as chief. Floor test former minister.
