Khan said the baby’s father, Jitendra, a resident of Manoria village, contacted him after he was unable to obtain blood and was tricked by touts.
The touts allegedly took Rs 750 from Jitendra under the pretext of arranging blood, he said.
In an interview with PTI, Jitendra said, “After Khan donated blood, my son’s condition has improved now. When my child was in urgent need of blood, he came like an angel and donated blood with a smile.” Dr Mukesh Prajapati, a pediatrician at the Nursing Unit, said the baby was in stable condition after receiving the blood.
This is not the first time Khan has donated blood. He has donated blood at least 13 times within a year.
He said the noble act gave him joy and satisfaction.
