Hyderabad: Union coal minister Pralhad Joshi denies BJP ever threatened TRS MLC K Kavitha to join saffron brigade.
At a press conference here on Friday, the union minister claimed that the chief minister was spreading lies that his daughter had been threatened by the BJP leader to join them. “We don’t do things like this to bring in party leaders. If Kavitha or KTR want to voluntarily join our party, we welcome them,” he said.
Condemning the attack on the residence of BJP MP Dharampuri Arvind in Nizamabad by TRS operatives, Joshi said TRS was targeting its leaders to sow terror due to the growing power of the BJP in the state.
The Union minister objected to the absence of the Chief Minister during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to the country, saying that he was afraid of confronting the Prime Minister as the Chief Minister was involved in many irregularities.
He said the TRS government, which had a budget surplus during the nation’s formation, is now deeply in debt due to the poor policies of the chief minister. He said the state was losing a lot of benefits by not implementing central planning.
