Hyderabad: The temporary ticket office at the newly built Secunderabad railway station has started functioning on Tuesday as part of the railway station reconstruction project of Indian Railways.
The temporary ticket office is built near the exit, that is, near the parcel office and Gate 5 on the north side of the station building. The ticket office has 10 counters and will replace the 9 functional counters currently operating near Gate 3 of the station building.
The ticket office will provide passengers with all facilities such as purchasing unreserved (regular) tickets, platform tickets, season ticket renewals and inquiry facilities. In addition, passengers can continue to book tickets without queuing through the UTS app on their mobile phones, which also provides all the convenience.
Arun Kumar Jain, general manager of South Central Railway (SCR), said the upgrade works are progressing rapidly.
He called on rail passengers to work with the railway to use their ticketing services through the new pop-up ticket offices as well as the UTS app on mobile phones.
