Minister inaugurated 263-cr Rs Kothaguda multi-storey interchange constructed by GHMC under Strategic Road Development Program

Hyderabad: The long wait for commuters in Kothaguda, Kondapur, the Botanic Gardens and the busy stretches of the old Mumbai expressway linking Gachibowli and the new expressway in Miyapur is finally over.
Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister KT Rama Rao on Sunday inaugurated GHMC’s Rs 2.63 billion Kothaguda multi-level interchange under the Telangana government’s Strategic Road Development Plan (SRDP).
Apart from the main roads it crosses, the new facility also simplifies the movement of vehicles at busy traffic points in and around Madhapur.
The entire area has been turned into a hive of activity filled with residential, commercial and office spaces, and for some time has been clogged with a steady stream of traffic not only during the day, but also for much of the night.
In his speech, the Minister said that on January 1, 2022, the Shaikpet Interchange will be inaugurated and on January 1, 2023, the long-awaited Kothaguda multi-storey interchange with underpass will be inaugurated.
He mentioned that the Kothaguda multi-level flyover has brought much-needed relief to many in the region and that no other city in the country can match Hyderabad’s massive infrastructure development.
Rama Rao said people from other states and countries who have visited Hyderabad, especially after the Covid-19 pandemic, have been impressed by the major metamorphosis the city has undergone in terms of infrastructure and credit Hyderabad for its rapid changes Yu Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao .
The inauguration was attended by Education Minister P. Sabitha Indra Reddy, Chevella MP Ranjith Reddy, Mayor G Vijaya Laxmi, Serilingampally MLA Arekapudi Gandhi, MLC Surabhi Vani Devi, GHMC Commissioner DS Lokesh Kumar and others.
