Hyderabad: It’s January and it’s time for the annual gala, where you can have fun, frolic and shop at the expansive fairgrounds. The All India Industry Exhibition, more popular locally in its Numaish form, is back and Hyderabadiers have started heading straight to explore the annual event.
Store greetings, announcements, food, amusement facilities, and songs were played continuously, and the exhibition hall was very lively.
This year Numaish has about 2,300 stalls where traders from all over the country showcase their products. Everything from clothing, handicrafts, electronic products to dried fruits, perfumes, etc.
For some, it’s just shopping and socializing, while for others, it’s about cherished memories and nostalgia. A frequent visitor to the event, Prakash found memories of Numaish, saying: “In 1998, I visited the exhibition for the first time with my family and bought a lot of interesting things here.”
As visitors stroll, they can smell the aromas of their favorite foods – kebabs, fast food and chats – wafting through the air. In addition to Mala Tang, there is also a canteen selling cotton candy, ice cream, and popcorn, so that children can’t stop eating.
“Every year, I come here to eat my favorite dish – haleem, and I come here many times to enjoy it,” said P Santosh, a government employee. It’s also popular here, and besides flavored milks from Badam Ki Jali, Agra Petha, and Vijaya Dairy, the big-sized Mirchi Bajjis are always a hit.
Inside the playground, visitors cheered and jumped for joy while enjoying crazy fun rides, including visitor favorites Giant Wheel and Cup and Saucer rides.
Must try in Numaish:
