Hyderabad: The second Vice-Chancellor for Research Excellence Awards 2023 was held on Tuesday at the Tagore Auditorium of Osmania University.
The 2023 category 1 Vice-Chancellor’s Award recipients are Prof. A. Ramakrishna from the Department of Engineering Education, Prof. Shashikanth from the Department of Civil Engineering and Dr. P. Muralidhar Reddy from the Department of Chemistry.
Recipients of the UGC Special Category Vice-Chancellor’s Award were Dr T. Jyothi and Dr U. Ashok Kumar from the Assistant Professor (Contract) Faculty category of Mechanical Engineering, and Dr T. Sudhakar Babu from the Faculty of Affiliated Faculty category of CBIT.
Dr. G. Sateesh Reddy, Scientific Advisor to Raksha Mantri, and Prof. B. Jagadeeshwar Rao, Vice-Chancellor, University of Hyderabad attended the award ceremony. Prof. R. Limbadri, Chairman of TSCHE, and Prof. Raghu Kalluri, Director of the Transfer Research Center at the University of Texas also attended the meeting.
In his speech, Dr Satheesh Reddy reflected on his more than 35-year association with the OU and said it was a real homecoming for him. “The college excels in the quality of its teachers and inspired teachers are important to any university,” he said.
