The club do not want him to leave for free at the end of next season and say the 2022 World Cup top scorer must either sign a new contract or be sold

Paris: Paris Saint-Germain travel to Japan for a pre-season game on Saturday without striker Kylian Mbappe, whose future at the club looks increasingly uncertain due to an ongoing contract dispute.
Mbappe has told the club he will not extend his contract for 12 months but said he will start next season with the French champions.
Paris Saint-Germain have left the France striker out of their 29-man squad for the trip to Japan.
The club do not want him to leave for free at the end of next season and say the 2022 World Cup top scorer must either sign a new contract or be sold.
Mbappe, 24, wrote to PSG last month to inform PSG of his plans.
News of the letter sparked an immediate transfer frenzy, with Mbappe once again linked with Real Madrid, which had made a €180 million ($190 million) bid for the striker in 2021.
Last year, Mbappe signed a new contract with Paris Saint-Germain until 2024, with an option until 2025, which needs to be signed by July 31. Real Madrid once again missed the opportunity.
PSG do not want Mbappe to leave Madrid or anywhere else as a free agent after seeing team-mate Lionel Messi leave Inter Miami after not accepting the option for an extra year.
